What makes us go on? We have all had one of those days when the crushing routine of our day to day jobs seems too much to stand. We trudge through the week like through the world’s longest tunnel. So I repeat the question: What makes us go on?
For most of us it is certainly not our work. But no matter who you are, or what you do for a living an occasion will come forth that will make all of the daily grind seem worth while. I am talking of course about special moments like our anniversary favors or wedding favor and for some, even religious occasions. Moments when we escape and have an almost Zen feeling of joy and validation.
But what is certain is that many if not all of these occasions are made special by the presence of our loved ones. You could have a wedding that costs millions of dollars and it will still manage to be bland and meaningless without the presence of your special acquaintances and families.
It has become customary for couples show appreciation for the presence of their guests through the gifting of so called wedding favors.
It may seem like non-sense that your guests should leave your wedding with gifts. But believe me wedding party favors are a great way of showing you are not all about the money and you truly care about the enjoyment of everyone there.
The sheer variety of wedding favors that can be chosen is staggering. You could go with certain themes like ethnic ones, traditional and so on. Some couples that have time on their side can even go through the trouble of hand making all of the favors they are about to give out. Although this is a daunting task, your guest will most likely appreciate the extra effort you put it. There have even been cases where at a small wedding, filled only with close friends, the favors were based on an inside joke that the group had, and no one else got.
The location where you are holding the wedding is also important. If the wedding is on a tropical island or at a beach side you could gift them with token funny sailor hats or toy boats. It doesn’t have to cost allot, it just has to provide them with a memory trigger.
The greatest thing such a favor has to do is to trigger emotion and nostalgia. Gifting them with anything else will just result in a bland and forgettable gift, regardless of how much you spent on them.
As you have probably noticed I haven’t given too many examples. And that’s the whole point you have to decide what sweet favors to gift. These were the criteria that you have to consider when picking them.
Beauty is in the details and I am certain that religious favors are a detail of beauty.
